Description
Students design a natural park for an endangered sea turtle (Caretta caretta) step by step by choosing the most suitable area, ecosystem, flora, fauna, fencing system and monitoring system. While designing the habitat to protect the endangered species, the students receive feedback to help inform their selections. They can also access files that provide information about the most suitable environment for the turtles and the interaction of the turtles with their environment. After successfully designing the park, students enter their names and the park is named in their honor. As an additional award, they are “presented” with a personalized turtle natural park album that consists of rich descriptions of the Carreta caretta turtles and a large number of pictures.
